We woke up today to a "balmy" Las Vegas. It was in the mid 40's but warmed up to the low 50s during the day. It's hard to believe that we're starting to feel hot in 50 degree weather. Our devotion this morning was 1 Corinthians 13. We said that anytime anyone needed to practice "loving" to say "Love Chapter --name--" We had to use that phrase several times during the day but I'm glad the kids got it.
We spent most of the day shopping. First stop was the California hotel for some goodies and then to Main Street Station for their lunch buffet. We have a hard time getting out of the door early in the morning so we're missing the breakfast buffets.
At Main Street, I played Wheel of Fortune--won $40 but I can't stay on those machines long. It was about 5 minutes of playing with $10. I don't think gambling is my thing...
We hit the stores--Target for a stroller for Logie & Ross' Dress for Less. We visited Ethel M Chocolate Factory & Cactus Garden. The garden is so prettily decorated for Christmas. One question...how do you get Christmas lights on cactus? We also went to the Las Vegas Outlet Mall. I'm starting to see the "teenager" in Cody because that boy can shop for clothes for himself!
We headed to Green Valley Ranch for their Feast of the World Dinner Buffet but the lines were soo long! We ended up across the street at Cheesecake Factory where the four kids were so well behaved! They know when to make mom & dad look good! Logie even asked me if this is where he walked like a gentleman.
We can view the volcano from our room here at the Mirage so we haven't gone down to view it from the front. It's changed and they reopened it earlier this month.
We begin the drive to Anaheim tomorrow and we're heading towards the end of our vacation! It's been soo much fun so far! The kids have spent a lot of time looking for different license plates from all the states. We have become so dependent on our GPS system. I'm glad we purchased it because I don't think Brad & I would be talking right now! HA!
Off to bed...I'll post again from Anaheim!
