This morning we packed up and checked out of our lodge at 11:00 a.m. The kids were asking if they could stay and when they would get to come back. The lodge owners (Jim & Paula) were soo nice! We gave them a couple of boxes of chocolate macadamia nuts. I'm really glad we got to bring that with us to share a little bit of home with others. After being in Big Bear, I wish we could've stayed & skipped Las Vegas. We explored Big Bear Village before getting ready for our drive to Las Vegas. We left a "warm" Big Bear Lake (35 degrees) today at 1:40 p.m. and finally arrived in Las Vegas at 5:40 p.m. It took longer because of the traffic. Las Vegas is 38 degrees tonight and we thought we were done with the thermal underwear--NOT!
It's Braden's birthday today but instead of celebrating today, we'll do it tomorrow. We satisfied our In N Out Burger craving at dinner tonight and we took the kids on a drive through the strip.
Right now, we are exhausted (still recovering from snowboarding) and we'll get some rest and begin a fresh new day tomorrow! Check back for pictures again! I'll try to get them posted soon!
