Here's the outside of our lodge, Goldmine Lodge. Our room(s) are the 4th and 5th doors from the left on the ground floor. Our lodge and our suite really did bring my "vision" of what Big Bear would be like to life! I'm glad we chose to stay there!
The left photo is of Brad & Brooke at the playground on our lodge's property. In the summer, this playground must be fun, too! On the right is a picture of a snowman. It isn't one that the kids built. You just see them pop up on the side of the road, in people's yards--everywhere! This was a snowman in front of a house.
I fell in love with all of the houses at Big Bear and I have several photos of some of them. Check this one out. There are actually a lot of houses just like this that you can rent.
As we drove away to Las Vegas, we had to drive through the north of Big Bear Lake. This is going over the dam. Parts of the lake is frozen in this photo.

The left photo is the view we had as we were descending down the mountain on our way to Las Vegas. The right photo is one the kids asked me to take when they saw a train going through the desert.
