Chicken Pox!

Well, I am now dealing with the chicken pox virus! Cody has the chicken pox! On Tuesday, I noticed little "pimples on his face." He said it was bites. On Wednesday, he seemed to have more bites and he said he went to the health room at school. The health aide thought it was insect bites. I noticed that he had more on his body.

By this morning, it had multiplied on his face and I decided to take him to the doctor. Being that Cody already had the chicken pox vaccine & no fever, I didn't think he had the chicken pox. His doctor had said that if he ever did come down with it, it would just be a very small amount. Well...his doctor said that out of all of the kids who came down with chicken pox after being vaccinated, he thinks Cody is the worst he's seen.

Poor Cody is itchy and now he's quarantined. He did expose the kids in his classes so I had to call the school. I think Cody was exposed to the virus on the mainland since the doctor said it usually takes two weeks after exposure to come down with it.

We are taking the kids in tomorrow morning to get their second dose of the vaccine. Cody didn't have a chance to get his. Hopefully, I won't have to deal with more itchy kids!
