Winning & Losing

With our kids in sports year round, we try to stress that their effort & attitude in winning & losing is VERY important. Yesterday, Brooke's soccer team lost for the first time this season. It was a very close game and the final score was 2-3. It was nice to see that the loss didn't get them down and they were still smiling. Braden's soccer team won their game yesterday and are still undefeated. Both teams didn't score in the first half and it wasn't something that our boys were used to seeing. Our team really had to be persistent and not give up. They ended up winning 5-0. Today, Cody's football game ended in a tie (18-18 vs. Kapahulu) but they tried up until the very end to score again--it just didn't go their way. All in all, I was very proud of them this weekend. There was no excuses made for things not going the way they wanted it and they have new goals to set for their next games.
