Fall Sports Season Is Over!

I'm doing a happy dance! As much as I love to watch my kids in their sporting endeavors, I get a bit antsy towards the holidays. There's much to anticipate about the holidays every year but it can also be pretty stressful when mixed in with other family activities. I look forward to the fall sports season ending so I can start preparing for the holidays.

Just a recap of the kids and their sports season...

Cody's football team, the Ewa Saints Jr. Midgets, went undefeated for the season. On November 9th in their playoff game at Aloha Stadium, they lost to the Aiea Eagles, 22-6. It dashed their hopes of moving on to the championship game. Their season came to an abrupt end and so did football practices. Cody did well this season and we can't be any prouder of their team!

Brooke's soccer team (Pounders, U12G) went 8-1-1 for the regular season. They qualified for a playoff tournament and this past Saturday, in the pouring rain, their team came in third place. Brooke scored a goal in the tournament so I think she's pretty happy with her play.

Braden's soccer team (Bad Boys, U8B) finished their season undefeated this past Saturday. He had an awesome season and he's looking forward to Spring season starting up!

Logie had his first taste of soccer earlier this fall and finished up in October. It was major fun watching his age group play! He played hard every game and even managed a goal or two every game. There was no pressure from us for him to score but I guess all the time sitting on the sidelines watching his siblings play brought out his competitive spirit! See a video of him in the sidebar.

So, that's our last 4-1/2 months in a nutshell! Now, it's just rehearsing for piano recitals & hula performances and switching gears for the holidays (no small task there!)
