Wow! What a weekend! Congratulations to our University of Hawaii Football Warriors! If anyone on the mainland happens to read my blog and questions the validity of our team, I will kindly ask you to just zip it and let us have our moment! :-) Besides being a fan, I also work for the University of Hawaii system so my loyalties run deep.
I was pretty calm in the days leading before the game until it was almost kickoff time; I had knots in my stomach! For the first quarter, I couldn't sit still to watch. I washed the dishes, sat at the table and made a couple of bracelets and wrapped some gifts. This was all in view of the t.v. of course! It was so cute to see my kids so involved in the game. My boys kept body-bumping each other after a score or a great play! Even Brooke was rooted to the t.v. After each touchdown, Brad (who was at work,) called us. He is an optimist and if there's anything I learned from him, it's never say die! He will be thinking of all the ways that his team will pull off a win in the last seconds. That was an EXCITING game!
To the entire state--way to show the Aloha for the team! The Warriors will make SUGAR taste even sweeter on New Year's Day!
